Upon completion of this course the delegate will be able to grasp the physiological and physical changes that occur throughout pregnancy. They will have the ability to understand and correct postural imbalances due to hormonal changes and shifting of weight bearing joints. They will have the confidence to assess and treat common dysfunctions within the pelvic region including all connective tissue and will have the skills to individualize a prenatal exercise plan of strength and stretching for lower back stability. This course will build upon their existing communication skills while learning the importance of balancing the art and science of massage.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Janie Lysack LCSP (Phys), is an award-winning graduate of Wellington College. Her thesis study influence the removal of diabetes mellitus from the international contraindication list. After joining the faculaty at Wellington, her practical approach to teaching led her to develop a number of seminars relating to pre and postnatal massage and labour and delivery massage support. Now Janie has a thriving business based on pre and postnatal massage and loves to share her knowledge and experience with others looking to enter the pre and postnatal massage specialty.
