There is no fee to apply. It is required by the Government of Manitoba that all students are permanent residents or citizens of Canada. At this time, Wellington College is not designated to accept International students. If you have questions regarding your status in this regard, please contact the College.
To apply, please submit the following:
A completed Wellington College Application Form (available for download from our website or a printed copy in the Information Package)
A brief hand-written essay answering questions provided on the Application Form
High School transcript or Diploma
Post-secondary transcripts (if applicable)
If you hold a valid CPR level C and Standard First Aid card, please submit a photocopy with your registration
If you wish to apply for transfer of credit from any prior education in massage therapy, equivalent field, or in relevant courses (Anatomy, Physiology, Psychology, Exercise Rehabilitation, etc.), please submit a course syllabus and transcript with your Application Form. We recommend all applicants to attend the Student Clinic for Therapeutic or Hot Stone massage (gift certificate provided in the Information Package), as well as attend an Information Session. Once the College receives your application, they will contact you for an Entrance Interview. The Interview is a chance to get to know you better, assess prior learning and your ability to take the course, as well as explain the course requirements and what is expected of those taking the program. It is also a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about Wellington College's Full Time and Distance Education programs.
Some applicants are requested to attend a second interview where they will be interviewed by a small panel of staff, to explain more in detail the demands of the course and to assess if this is the right direction for you.
