  International Students - Interview Process

Entrance Interview

Once your application has been reviewed, you will be contacted to arrange an entrance interview with a College representative. This interview will be held at Wellington College or via the internet using web cameras. In some cases, a telephone interview may be acceptable.

Some applicants may be asked to participate in a second interview with a panel of representatives from Wellington College.

Letter of Acceptance

Following your entrance interview you will receive notification of acceptance, conditional acceptance or rejection. Official Letters of Acceptance will be issued once all entrance requirements are met.

Conditional offers of admission may be issued to students who have additional recommendations to meet or require further evidence of the necessary language, academic and personal skills. In many cases offers of conditional admission are valid for two years, after which a new application must be submitted.

Tuition Deposit

When you are notified that your application is acceptable or conditionally acceptable, you will be required to submit an $800.00 CAD refundable tuition deposit. Payment can be made by VISA, MasterCard, money order, bank draft or wire transfer payable to Wellington College.

Once the deposit is received, a space will be reserved in the program for you. This deposit is refundable if the applicant submits written notice of withdrawal prior to the program start date.

Study Permits (Student Visas)

For all study programs at Wellington College you are required to have a Study Permit. It is best to apply for the Study Permit from your home country before you come to Canada.

The official Letter of Acceptance from Wellington College must be submitted along with the other required documentation to your nearest Canadian Embassy or Consulate Visa Section to apply for a Study Permit.

For further information on studying in Canada, refer to the Government of Canada website.
