Contact the College

Wellington College's diplomas are recognized around the world and we have graduates working in numerous countries. We work with graduates wishing to find employment in another country, assuring that our diploma is registered and recognized. We have been internationally accredited ensuring you are receiving training from a reputable institution.

As an international student we realize there are not only the challenges of learning new material but entering into a new culture and creating new friendships. Our dedicated counseling staff is here to assist you in meeting those challenges. Whether it’s dealing with the stress of learning or just day to day demands, we will do our best to ensure that you have the support needed to make you comfortable.

Winnipeg is a melting pot of culture. We are proud of our heritage and diversity and how all the different cultures come together in Winnipeg. Walking from street to street you will see not only changes in architecture and foods but also language. It’s common to hear several different languages being spoken within the same city block. Each culture shares itself with visitors to Winnipeg and residents alike.

If you are attending from abroad we will help you establish a relationship with your ethnic community to keep your connection to home alive. Another area we can work with to make you feel comfortable is, when possible, having past graduates that speak your native language being available to tutor or assist you through some of the more difficult topic areas.

The College itself is located in a very safe part of the city. The St. James area of Winnipeg has one of the lowest crime rates so you can feel very secure going for a walk in the evening or strolling through one of the many stores in the Polo Park shopping mall located less than 5 minutes from the College. The St. James area also boasts some of the more reasonably priced accommodation in Winnipeg. There are numerous apartments and houses to fit a wide variety of budgets.

The weather in Winnipeg does have some cold days in winter but for the most part we have beautiful crisp winter weather. The summers are extremely warm and beautiful and spring starts around the middle of March when the flowers and greens of the trees make the city come alive and street-side cafés begin to open.

The entertainment life of Winnipeg is thriving and also has something for everyone. If you enjoy theater and the arts Winnipeg is the hub of such activity for the Prairie Provinces. The various theatres, art galleries, comedy festivals, opera, ballet, and symphony orchestra all have a place in Winnipeg. It is also not uncommon to be having a meal in one of our many restaurants and look across and see one of your favorite actors enjoying a quiet dinner as well, as Winnipeg has become one of Canada’s top designations for film making.

Around every corner of our city you will find something new to explore and Wellington College is there to help direct you along the road.
