International applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Academic Requirements and Documentation

You are required to have the equivalent to a Manitoba high school diploma. All transcripts and other supporting documents must be in English or have English translations attached. If you require the original documentation returned, submit the original and one copy. The copy will be verified and the original will be returned.

English Language Proficiency Requirements

English is the language of instruction and communication at Wellington College. If your primary language is not English, or your previous education has been conducted in another language, you must demonstrate sufficient English ability to meet the demands of the program.

If English is not your primary language you must meet at least one of the following requirements:

1. Graduation from a Canadian high school including a minimum grade of 60% in Grade 12 English.

AND/OR

2. Successful completion of four or more years of education in a recognized secondary and/or post-secondary institution in which the language of instruction is English

AND/OR

3. Satisfactory English language proficiency test within the past 2 years

• TOEFL - a minimum of 550 (computer-based:213+) (internet-based: 80+)
  
• CanTEST - a minimum of 4.5 in Reading & Listening sections, 4.0 in Speaking & Writing sections
  
• IELTS - a minimum of Band 6.5
  
• MELAB - achieve a minimum score of 80
  
• CAEL - achieve a minimum score of 60 or more
• AEPUCE - achieve a minimum score of 65% in the Academic English Program for University and College Entrance. AEPUCE is offered at the University of Manitoba, University of Winnipeg and Red River College; please visit their websites for more information.
