Course information
This training besides being excellent professional development for massage therapists and professionals working with infants, is a training that gives the right to officially teach parents how to massage their babies under the name of the international association of infant massage, presently in 53 countries.
Following is the IAIM Instructor training core curriculum. This is revised every other year by the Circle of Trainers at the Trainers' Meeting.
The IAIM is an intensive four days training. In order to qualify, the instructor has to take the whole four day training, and has four months to complete a take home exam and do a practice teaching with five families. The IAIM Trainer is there to support the whole process. The exam and practice teaching are well explained during the training.
Once instructors are qualified, they are asked to keep alive their membership with the local Chapter of the international association of infant massage. http://www.iaim.net/
