Course information (Theory hrs: 3; Practical hrs: 3.5)
To provide the participates with basic knowledge of taping - when to tape, when not to.
Prerequisites
16 years of age
Learning Outcomes
- This course contains an overview of anatomy, including ankle, wrist, knee, hip, and foot.
- Each participant will learn how to evaluate the affected joint, how to tape/wrap it, and how to test for post-taping function, support and maneuverability.
- There are many types of tapes and wraps, which will be displayed, and instructed as to when it is suitable or not to use each.
- Skin condition and preparation, and tape removal.
About the Instructor (TO BE ANNOUNCED)
All of our instructors are Certified Athletic Therapists with years of experience in injury evaluation, first aid and cpr, wound care and management of injury scene.
All CAT(c)'s have an extensive University or College education, years of practical application, and have passed a 3-stage National Exam.
