Course information
This course consists of:
- General and specific orthopedic assessment of the lower leg
- Soft tissue and active assisted manual treatment techniques
- Exercise rehab prescription
- General training considerations for prevention
- Applicable to many recreation and competitive athletes as well as the physical labor force patients
Prerequisites
Anatomy of the lower extremity
General physiological understanding of technique effects
About the Instructor
Wayne Baiton, W.C. (Hon.), (Sp.T.), L.C.S.P. (Phys.)
As Principal of Regina-based Western College of Remedial Massage Therapies, Wayne is dedicated to promoting massage therapy to the public and advancing the professional careers of his students. One of western Canada’s leading teachers of athletic and remedial massage, Wayne offers his considerable knowledge and experience to students of Wellington College as well.
A 1990 graduate of Western College, Wayne took ownership of the Regina campus in 2004, after building a solid career focused on sports massage training.
